Giants' Sandoval hits three homers

Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval hit three homers Wednesday in San Francisco's 13-5 win over the Padres in San Diego.

The feat comes less than a year after Sandoval hit three homers in Game 1 of the World Series against the Detroit Tigers.

Sandoval hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning off Padres reliever Brad Brach, then a solo shot in the eighth off Brad Boxberger and a three-run shot in the ninth off Dale Thayer.

According to ESPN.com, the last Giant to have a three-homer game in the regular season was Aubrey Huff on June 2, 2011, against the Cardinals in St. Louis.
