Giants Release Final Injury Report Before Wild Card Game At Packers
The New York Giants released their final injury report before their Wild Card Game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
Cornerback Janoris Jenkins will make his first postseason appearance. He injured his back in the Week 15 victory over the Detroit Lions and missed the Week 16 to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jenkins played the first half of the regular season finale against the Washington Redskins before being pulled by head coach Ben McAdoo as a precaution. He said he felt “great” this week and was dropped off the injury report.

The only players on the Giants injury report are defensive ends Jason Pierre-Paul (core muscle) and Owa Odighizuwa (hamstring).
Pierre-Paul missed the final had surgery Dec. 7. The timetable for his return was six weeks, which would be in time for the NFC Championship Game if the Giants advance that far. Pierre-Paul appeared at Wednesday’s practice. He spent some time with the defensive linemen but didn’t participate in any team activities. He will not play against the Packers.
Odighizuwa is listed as doubtful to play Sunday. He was limited in practice this week.
Safety Nat Berhe (concussion) was not given a designation. He missed the final five regular season games. Berhe is still in the concussion protocol and could play against the Packers.
“He’s still finishing up,” McAdoo said. “He is still being evaluated. He still has to be cleared. There are a lot of guys we have to take a look at (Saturday).”
Tight end Jerell Adams (shoulder), offensive lineman Bobby Hart (forearm), and cornerback Coty Sensabaugh (ankle) will play. Hart will probably not start at the right tackle position. Marshall Newhouse had a strong performance against the Redskins and may start against the Packers. McAdoo hasn’t confirmed whether or not Newhouse will start.
The free safety position is also a question mark. Rookie Andrew Adams and veteran Leon Hall are both in the running. Hall saw his playing time increased down the stretch. McAdoo was noncommittal about the free safety position as well.
“It is still up in the air,” McAdoo said. “We will go out and take a look (Saturday). Everyone is going to play, but we will go out and take a look (Saturday) and see how we perform.”
