Georgia's Murray sets SEC record for passing TDs

Aaron Murray became the Southeastern Conference's career leader in touchdown passes when the senior quarterback threw his 115th on Saturday in Georgia's 45-6 win over Appalachian State.

Murray threw two TD passes in the game, enough to move past Florida's Danny Wuerffel, who held the record with 114 TD passes from 1993 to 1996.

Murray tied Wuerffel with a 35-yard TD pass to Rantavious Wooten in the first quarter Saturday. He then hit Michael Bennett for a 23-yard score early in the second quarter. He was replaced by Hutson Mason for the fourth quarter.

Murray set SEC career records for passing yards and total offense earlier this season.
