Former Patriot Darrelle Revis in legal hot water
Former New England Patriot cornerback Darrelle Revis is in some legal trouble after an alleged altercation took place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Darrelle Revis, a four-time All Pro cornerback who had a brief stint with the New England Patriots, is now facing multiple legal charges including four felony counts and a misdemeanor to boot.

Darrelle Revis has a long history with the New England Patriots. Even though his time spent in New England as a player was minimal, Revis will always be remembered as a Super Bowl winning cornerback for the Patriots when they beat the Seattle Seahawks. Revis, who spent just one year with the team, left as quickly as he arrived in New England. Still his impact was felt as Revis Island helped the Patriots win another Super Bowl.
Besides his time in New England, Darrelle Revis has spent years and years pitted against the New England Patriots’ franchise as a shutdown cornerback for the New York Jets. Becoming a royal pain in the ass of the New England Patriots, Darrelle Revis lined up across from Tom Brady’s offense for years and caused too much trouble for New England’s passing game.
After a mainly successful career as a cornerback, Darrelle now finds himself at the end of his time in the NFL. While primarily remembered as a New York Jet, nobody can downplay the importance Revis had with the New England Patriots as a cornerback. It is a shame to see what has happened towards the end of Revis’ strong career in the NFL. As of now, Darrelle Revis has only been charged. Revis’ agent Blaine Jones has stated that Revis, “Feared for his safety” in the alleged crimes committed. We will stay tuned as Revis Island treads the difficult legal waters in front of him.
