Florida State RB Thompson out for the season

Florida State announced Monday that running back Chris Thompson is out for the rest of the season with an injured left knee.

The injury occured after he made a 32-yard reception in the second quarter of the Seminoles' 33-20 win over Miami on Saturday.

Thompson had six rushes for 47 yards. For the season, he has a team-high 687 rushing yards and 248 receiving.

Thompson missed a significant portion of last year with a serious back injury.
