Start — Mike Gillislee — Running Back

Star running back LeSean McCoy is likely out for this divisional game against the Miami Dolphins. However, even without their star playmaker, the Bills cannot simply change from a run first team into a pass heavy one. The run game will still be the Buffalo Bills dominant mode of offense going forward.

Without McCoy, most of the workload is likely to fall squarely on the shoulders of backup Mike Gillislee. Stepping into the role of starter at the tale end of last season, Gillislee impressed enough to earn himself a deal for this season. I expect to be equally impressed in this game.

With the Bills having to go with a run first attack, Gillislee will get the reps needed to have a good day. While the yardage we are used to seeing from McCoy may not be there, I do expect to see some touchdowns and other offensive outputs from the former Dolphin. If the Bills win this game, you will definitely want to have had Gillislee in your starting lineup.

Drop — Robert Woods — Wide Receiver

The wide receiver position with the Buffalo Bills right now is an absolute train wreck. With Sammy Watkins already on the injured reserve list, it is now Robert Woods’ turn to add himself to the injury list. Though he doesn’t have any broken bones, Woods has been in a walking boot all week and his status for Sunday’s game in unknown.

With his status up in the air, Woods is a definite drop at this point in the week for two reasons. The first is obvious, who knows if he will even be suiting up come the game on Sunday.

The second reason, even if he plays, his output will likely be low. He didn’t practice this week and would have to be used on the fly to preserve his health for the coming weeks. With the passing game also likely to be used sparingly, the fantasy value of Woods may now be at an all time low.
