Dodgers SS Ramirez scratched from lineup

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez was a late scratch in Saturday's lineup against the St. Louis Cardinals due to sore ribs.

He was replaced by Nick Punto and is batting seventh.

Ramirez was initially in the lineup batting third, but was taken for X-rays before the game. He was injured during Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Friday.

Manager Don Mattingly shuffled the lineup after Ramirez was scratched.

First baseman Adrian Gonzalez is batting third. Skip Schumacher, filling in for the scratched Andre Ethier in center field, is batting sixth instead of seventh.
