Edwin Encarncion has mild back inflammation, starts Saturday
A precautionary MRI on the injured back of Blue Jays first baseman Edwin Encarnacion revealed that he is dealing with minor inflammation, Sportsnet reports.
Encarnacion slugged his 33rd home run of the season Friday and is back in the starting lineup Saturday, so the minor injury hasn't cost him playing time. He has hit .262/.350/.552 with 33 home runs and 89 RBI in 446 at-bats.
