Dodgers put Capuano on DL

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Chris Capuano was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left calf muscle, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

Capuano was injured during Tuesday games, which was his first start of the season.

He was inserted into the rotation as a replacement for Zack Greinke, who will be out for two months with a broken collarbone.

Ted Lilly probably will get that spot in the rotation in Capuano's absence.

Capuano, 34, has a 9.64 ERA in one start and two relief appearances this season.

The Dodgers also called up catcher Tim Federowicz from Triple-A Albuquerque.
