Detroit interested in Shaw to take helm of Pistons

The Detroit Pistons have contacted Indiana Pacers' associate head coach Brian Shaw to set up an interview to talk about their head coaching job.

Shaw has been linked to other openings, according to CBSSports.com., but the Pacers will not let him interview with another team until their season is over.

The Pacers lead the New York Knicks 3-1 in their Eastern Conference second-round series.

Shaw was a longtime assistant at Los Angeles when Phil Jackson was coaching the Lakers. Jackson is serving as a consultant for the Pistons as they search for a replacement for Lawrence Frank.

Shaw joined the Pacer's staff in 2011.

The Pistons also reportedly have contacted Nate McMillan, Miami assistant David Fizdale and Spurs assistant Mike Budenholzer.
