Deng Riak Transferring Out of ECU
The Pirates have lost a much needed post player from the team in the form of center Deng Riak.
The 6-foot-10 redshirt freshman has made a decision to transfer out of the Pirate basketball program.
Riak got better and better as the season went on, starting in 17 ballgames and making his presence known around the rim. He is also proved to be a pretty good outside shooter as well.
His loss leaves the Pirates with just one center on the squad in 6-10 Jabari Craig who is still gaining experience.
Riak, a Melbourne, Australia product, averaged 5.2 rebounds a game where he was a factor around the rim to go along with 3.2 points per contest.
