Crosby leaves game after getting hit by puck
Pittsburgh Penguins star center Sidney Crosby left Saturday's game against the New York Islanders early in the first period after taking a puck to his face.
He was ruled out for the rest of the game.
A shot from Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik was deflected and hit Crosby in the mouth, drawing blood. After going down for a few minutes, Crosby skated off the ice under his own power.
Crosby leads the NHL with 56 points.
