Cris Cyborg Reportedly to Headline UFC Fight Night 95 in Brazil

Cris Cyborg Dismantles Tonya Evinger; Claims Her Featherweight Title at UFC 214

Despite holding the Invicta FC featherweight title, it appears that Cris “Cyborg” Justino‘s next fight will be in the UFC Octagon. It would mark back-to-back UFC fights for Cyborg.

A report from UOL Sport in Brazil said that Cyborg will headline UFC Fight Night 95 on Sept. 24 in Brasilia, Brazil, where she will face UFC newcomer Lina Lansberg. MMAWeekly.com sources confirmed that the fight is in the talking stages, but could not confirm that it was signed.

Cyborg has been making a big push for the UFC to add a women's featherweight division, but if the fight with Lansberg takes place, it is likely to be another 140-pound catchweight bout, which is what Cyborg agreed to for her Octagon debut at UFC 198 in May.

Joining Cyborg on the card is a bout pitting former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao against Phillipe Nover in a featherweight bout.

Barao made the move to 145 pounds after failing to win back the bantamweight belt from TJ Dillashaw. He lost his 145-pound debut to Jeremy Stephen via a unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 88, but hasn't given up on his new weight class just yet.

UFC Fight Night 95 is scheduled for Sept. 24 at Ginásio Nilson Nelson in Brasília, Brazil.
