Colts LB Freeney out this Sunday

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Dwight Freeney is out for Sunday's game against the visiting Minnesota Vikings with an ankle injury, first-year coach Chuck Pagano announced Friday.

Freeney injured the ankle against the Chicago Bears early in the season opener.

"Dwight is out. It's an ankle. He's day-to-day," Pagano said, according to the team's website. "You know, someone's going to step up and fill in. (We) hate not playing with Dwight (Freeney)."

Pagano said that Pat Angerer will fill in as the starter in place of Freeney.

Pagano also announced that wide receiver Austin Collie is doubtful for Sunday's game. Collie is still recovering from a concussion he sustained during the team's second preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
