Chargers Blast Jaguars, 33-14

Philip Rivers had a huge day throwing the ball, paving the way to a solid victory for the Chargers over the Jaguars, 33-14, at home.

Rivers lit up the Jaguars for three scores on 29 of 39 passing for 377 yards and no interceptions. On the Jaguars side, Blake Bortles did not have as good a day, going 29 of 37 with 253 yards passing, one touchdown and two picks.

Donald Brown ran for 19 yards on 10 carries while adding four receptions for 35 yards. Eddie Royal was a weapon for the offense, catching five passes for 105 yards with two touchdowns.

The San Diego defense was the difference in the victory, allowing 85 yards rushing and 253 passing. They brought down Bortles for three sacks.

Lastly, Nick Novak was perfect, hitting all four of the field goals he attempted.

Jaguars tight end Clay Harbor had a big day with 69 receiving yards.

The Chargers are at home to take on the Jets (1-3) next week while the Jaguars will meet the Steelers (2-2), also at home.
