Bucs' Hillis exits game with knee injury

Tampa Bay Buccanners running back Peyton Hillis left Thursday night's preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens with a left knee injury.

Hillis limped off the field in the third quarter after rushing for 13 yards on four carries.

The six-year pro joined the Buccaneers in the offseason after one season with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bucs are hoping that Hillis can provide depth in the backfield behind starter Doug Martin.

HIllis' best year in the NFL came in 2010 with the Cleveland Browns. He rushed for 1,170 yards and 11 touchcowns on 270 carries and landed on the cover of the Madden video game. But he rushed for only 587 yards the following year with the Browns and 309 last season with the Chiefs.
