Buccaneers sign Bobby Rainey to one-year deal

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed running back Bobby Rainey to a one-year contract.

He was scheduled to be an exclusive-rights free agent.

Rainey rushed for a career-high 163 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries against the Atlanta Falcons.

He also caught a touchdown.

A former Western Kentucky standout who has previous stints with the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens, Rainey led the team with 532 yards and five touchdowns.

Rainey has 11 passes for 27 yards and one score and returned a kickoff for 15 yards.

Rainey left Western Kentucky as the Hilltoppers' all-time rushing leader with 4,523 yards.
