But the touchdown pass also held some personal significance for Brumbaugh, as it made him the state's all-time leader in passing yardage. With six completions on 16 attempts for 140 yards, Brumbaugh passed Port Allegany's Matt Bodamer as the state's all-time passing leader. Brumbaugh holds the mark now with 10,984 yards while Bodamer had 10,948.

South Fayette is 15-0 on the season and is 44-2 under Brumbaugh in his tenure as the school's quarterback. South Fayette will take on Dunmore in the Class AA state final on Saturday.

With 3,618 yards passing on the season, Brumbaugh needs 382 yards to become the first quarterback in Pennsylvania history to throw for 4,000 yards in a season, according to the Kevin Gorman of the Tribune.
