Braves' Heyward leaves game with hamstring injury

Atlanta Braves right field Jason Heyward left Thursday night's game against the Reds in the second inning with an injured right hamstring, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Heyward was injured while sliding into third base, and the Braves reported that it was a strained hamstring.

Heyward will be re-evaluated on Friday.

Heyward was replaced by Reed Johnson.

Heyward is hitting just .225 with seven homers in 66 games this season.
