Bradley C Egolf arrested on drug charge

Bradley starting center Will Egolf was arrested Monday night on a possession of a controlled substance charge, according to the Peoria (Ill.) Journal Star.

Egolf, a sixth-year senior, was booked into Peoria County Jail overnight.

A drug-related offense is considered a major violation of athletics department rules and carries a minimum suspension of 10 percent of the scheduled games, according to the 2012-13 Bradley Student-Athlete Handbook. However, convictions could mean more severe penalties, including removal from the team.

Since Bradley has 31 games left on its regular season schedule, Egolf will miss at least four games.

Bradley's next game is Wednesday at Southern Illinois.

Egolf averages 8.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game through 13 games.
