Agent: Green to re-sign with Celtics

The Boston Celtics and unrestricted free agent Jeff Green reportedly have a deal in place for Green to return to the team next season.

Green's agent, David Falk, told ESPN Boston Saturday that he would not give specifics about the contract, but confirmed that it will probably be made official after new contracts can be signed starting Wednesday.

"This is where Jeff always wanted to be," Falk said.

Green was traded to Boston in February 2011, but sat out all of last season after having surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm that was detected in training camp as the two sides prepared to sign a one-year, $9 million contract.

Falk said that the Celtics' willingness to stick it out with Green during his heart woes played a key role in Green deciding to stay with Boston.
