50 Cent on Kanye West’s Breakdown: ‘You Could See That Coming’

While many found Kanye West‘s breakdown and hospitalization shocking, fellow rapper 50 Cent says he actually wasn’t too surprised.

“That was interesting because I kind of felt like you could see that coming,” 50 Cent said on the topic during a Watch What Happens Live appearance, Thursday. He added, “It was like little outbursts.”

When Andy Cohen further asked the star what he thought of the rapper’s wife Kim Kardashian West‘s October robbery in Paris, 50 Cent surmised, “I think that was a part of Kanye’s breakdown.”

50 Cent, 41, appeared on the New York City-filmed Bravo talk show with actress Leah Remini. They also discussed theories and rumors about the cause of West’s crisis.

West was taken to UCLA Medical Center for sleep deprivation and exhaustion over a week ago, where he remained until being discharged earlier this week.

Audio of the Nov. 21 911 call that led to West’s hospitalization was just released on Thursday.

In the recording, a male who identified himself as one of West’s doctors asked for paramedics. “He’s definitely going to need to be hospitalized. I wouldn’t just do the police by itself,” said the caller, whom TMZ identified as Dr. Michael Farzam.

During the star’s UCLA stay, a source previously told PEOPLE he was “under constant watch.”

The source said that West generally has “big ups and big downs, but this bout seems to be much more serious. In the hospital he has been very paranoid.”

Now, another insider close to the family told PEOPLE, West is relaxing at home “with Kim and the kids.”

“Kanye will continue to receive treatment and help with how to cope with stress. He needs to learn how to better balance his work and family life.”
