2014 Outlook: Zach Randolph
Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph will enter the 2014-15 season with high hopes after averaging a double-double for the eighth time last season. Randolph's days of averaging 20 points are probably long behind him, but that doesn't mean he won't be one of the most consistent forwards in the league. Although he only scored more than 30 points once last season, his offensive numbers have been slightly trending upward. After averaging 20-plus points in his first two seasons in Memphis, Randolph saw his PPG take a slight dip. He averaged 11.6 points per game in a shortened 2011-12 campaign, bounced back with 15.4 points per game in 2012-13 and registered 17.4 points per game in 2013-14. He also notched 47 double-doubles last season, the most he's had since the 2010-11 campaign (53). Randolph shot 46.7 percent from the floor and averaged 10.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists over 79 games last season. We don't expect the Grizzlies to change much of his role on offense, so if he manages to play 75-plus games again, he'll likely register similar numbers. However, at 33, this may very well be the final productive season before his numbers start to take a dive. Target him approximately in Round 5 on Draft Day.
