2014 Outlook: Eric Bledsoe

Knees can be tricky, which is why Eric Bledsoe makes for an interesting case in Fantasy. He lived up to the breakout hype in his first few months with Phoenix last year only to be sidelined for most of the season after undergoing knee surgery. He returned to form at the end of the year, averaging 17.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.7 steals over 19 games. So what do we make of him this year? With the addition of another high usage point guard in Isaiah Thomas, the Suns will likely keep their identity from last season, spreading shots around across the board. The best case scenario for Bledsoe would be embracing the role of facilitator, as his athleticism allows him to do some things that Thomas and fellow budding star Goran Dragic cannot. And at the ripe age of 24, Bledsoe certainly has room to grow. Still, his knee trouble from last season and the depth of Phoenix's backcourt will likely keep Bledsoe from reaching his statistical potential. He'll still be great across the board, but it's hard to gamble on talent with injury risk in that crowded backcourt. Still, like Dragic he'll go in the early rounds.
