Advice: And if all goes well, he'll join the O's active roster when first eligible on June 4. Wieters is on the road to recovery from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery. He's in a contract year, so the final four months of the 2015 season will be an important stretch in the 28-year-old catcher's career.

Advice: That would give him about a week and a half's worth of rehab games, as the O's are targeting June 4 as Wieters' return date. The catcher recently began catching full games in extended spring training.

Advice: Wieters recently began catching full games in extended spring training and is expected to be activated on June 4 when first eligible. "I was only going to catch him about four out of seven [days] anyway. But we may do an every-other-day thing with him," Showalter said. "Well see how it goes. Today was a good step for him. Let me get to the fourth first. Thats what Im OK with. Having Matt every other day is better than not having him at all. And I think that will progress from there."

Advice: That's the first day Wieters is eligible to be activated from the 60-day disabled list. The 28-year-old catcher continues to rehab his surgically-repaired elbow at extended spring training and should soon be cleared for a minor league rehab assignment. He's in a contract year, so Wieters will want to hit the ground running when he does finally join the O's active roster.Rotoworld
