Player Notes
Andrew Miller worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning for his sixth save, closing out the Yankees' 2-1 victory over the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Miller struck out Miguel Cabrera, got Victor Martinez to ground out, then struck out J.D. Martinez to end the contest. That's about as tough as it gets and Miller breezed through it. Miller maintains his flawless ERA, is now 6-for-6 in save opportunities, and sports a 15/4 K/BB ratio in 7 1/3 innings.

Andrew Miller recorded just one out to earn his fifth save of the season on Tuesday facing the Tigers.

Advice: Chris Martin started the ninth inning with a 5-1 lead and got two quick outs. After allowing a single to J.D. Martinez and a double to Yoenis Cespedes, however, Miller had to be brought in. Miller walked Nick Castellanos to load the bases, then walked Rajai Davis to force in a run. With the tying run on base, the lefty was able to fan Jose Iglesias to end the game. Miller is 5-for-5 in save chances with a 13/4 K/BB ratio in 6 1/3 innings so far this season.

Andrew Miller worked around a leadoff double with three consecutive strikeouts to earn his fourth save of the season in Sunday's win against the Rays.

Advice: Protecting a two-run lead in the ninth inning, Miller allowed a leadoff double to Ryan Brett, but bounced back to strike out Rene Rivera, Logan Forsythe, and Steven Souza to end the contest. Miller remains unscored upon with a 12/2 K/BB ratio in six innings.

Andrew Miller notched a four-out save in Friday's win over the Rays.

Advice: Miller came on with two outs in the bottom of the eighth and got Rene Rivera to fly out before giving up a leadoff infield single to Logan Forysthe in the ninth. However, he struck out the next three batters he faced to lock down the win. Miller now has three saves on the year and has allowed just one hit over five scoreless innings to go along with a 9/2 K/BB ratio. Dellin Betances has shown better control in his last two outings, but Miller still looks like the favorite for saves in this bullpen.
