Advice: With this many teams involved, it's increasingly likely that the Red Sox will find a deal to their liking. Lester is due to become a free agent after the season, so teams will be paying for a rental, but he's capable of putting a contender over the top. The 30-year-old has a 2.52 ERA and 149/32 K/BB ratio over 143 innings this season.

Advice: As Heyman notes, the Brewers have been aggressive with in-season moves before, but it's not clear if they have the pieces to get a deal done. Rookie right-hander Jimmy Nelson is one possibility. Of course, the Brewers aren't alone in their interest for Lester, as the Dodgers, Mariners, Pirates and Orioles have also reportedly been in touch with the Red Sox.

Advice: Of course, the Mariners have been linked to the Rays' David Price for a long time now, but Lester would almost certainly cost less since he's due to become a free agent this offseason. The Dodgers and Orioles have also reportedly called the Red Sox about Lester, but they figure to get calls from most contenders leading up to Thursday's trade deadline.

Advice: Hey, it doesn't hurt to ask. Still, it's probably unlikely that the Red Sox would deal Lester to a division rival, even for just two months. The Dodgers are among the other teams who have expressed interest in Lester, who suddenly appears to be a legitimate possibility to be dealt before Thursday.Rotoworld
Advice: The Red Sox have failed to work out a long-term contract extension with Lester, who can become a free agent after this season, and so they might as well get something for him before he hits the open market. The Dodgers are known to have interest and many other contending teams will likely be in contact with the Boston front office over the next couple of days. Lester, 30, boasts a 2.52 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 149/32 K/BB ratio in 143 innings this year for the 48-57 Red Sox.

Advice: The Red Sox are still seeking a huge return package for the All-Star southpaw. The Red Sox have been rumored to have interest in Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, so perhaps there could be something brewing here. Lester has made it clear that he wouldn't be open to signing an extension as a condition of any deal, and that his preference would be to re-sign with the Red Sox.

Advice: Lester hasn't hidden his desire to remain with the Red Sox, and as they currently sit in the cellar of the American League East, it's an idea that may make sense for them as an organization. If they can flip the star southpaw for the best prospects they can get at the deadline, and then re-sign him over the Winter, the organization will be strengthened.

Advice: His lone mistake was a two-run homer by Desmond Jennings in the fifth inning. He left in line for the win, but the Rays took the lead in the seventh inning. The southpaw struck out seven and walked one in the no-decision and now owns a dominant 0.93 ERA and 34/3 K/BB ratio in 29 innings over four starts this month. He has allowed two earned runs or fewer in eight straight starts. He'll try to keep it going when he makes his final start of July next week against the Blue Jays.Sat, Jul 26 Rotoworld
Advice: Lester doesn't want to be distracted any longer by in-season contract negotiations and probably wants a taste of the open market -- where there could be crazy money flying around this winter. The 30-year-old left-hander is putting together the best season of his career at the perfect time, boasting a 2.50 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 142/31 K/BB ratio in 137 innings. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reported earlier this month that the Red Sox were prepared to offer him "$100 million for five years, or thereabouts."

Advice: Lester was, once again, phenomenal. The lefty limited the Royals to four hits and two walks while striking out eight. He has now allowed one earned run or fewer in seven out of his last nine outings. Lester's ERA is down to 2.50 with a 1.12 WHIP and a 142/29 K/BB ratio in 137 innings. He'll look to continue the success when he takes on the Rays in Tampa on Friday.Thu, Jul 24 Rotoworld
