So you're a 34-year-old free-agent shortstop who's looking for another year of gainful employment. You're ranked 120th on Jeff Passan's list of 181 free agents. Not the bottom of the barrel, but not at the top of anyone's wish list, either. How do you differentiate yourself from the rest of aging middle infielders seeking to secure a contract?
If you're Jack Wilson, you film yourself kicking a football off a boat to a friend who's skimming by on a Jet Ski. Maybe not the most applicable of talents for a ballplayer, but hey, guys like Chicago White Sox GM Kenny Williams and Philadelphia Phillies GM Ruben Amaro are Stanford grads and surely they understand the need for a good kicker on a day like today ... right?
