High school lineman pulls off a football first

Brian Zahn’s Wikipedia page will one day have a separate section for what he did in a high school football game this past Friday.

The senior defensive tackle from Gillet, Wisconsin intercepted the opposing quarterback’s attempt to spike the ball and stop the clock. As Crivitz QB Sebastian Atwood took the snap, Zahn immediately leapt forward and was able to snare the ball before it touched the ground.

This play was probably the only bright spot in Gillet’s 30-6 loss and, as far as we know, he is the first football player at any level to pull of this feat. Zahn allegedly touts a 4.1 GPA and this particular play can be described as nothing short of brilliant.
