Why Gonzo might suprise you in the second half…

Life without Julio Jones has been a struggle for Atlanta tight end Tony Gonzalez, thus far. In two games without Jones, Gonzo is averaging a mere 28 receiving yards and has failed to find the end zone. With Roddy White also nursing a high ankle sprain, Gonzo has come under close scrutiny by opposing defenses. Expect double teams to be the norm for the Hall of Fame tight end down the stretch, which is likely to mean plenty more disappointment to come for his fantasy owners.

One tight end that has the potential to be a pleasant surprise in the second half of the season is Tennessee's Delanie Walker. The former 49er has produced three touchdowns for the Titans, all coming from the hand of QB Jake Locker. Walker has also topped 40 receiving yards four times. And, perhaps, no tight end is looking at a friendlier schedule during the fantasy playoffs, Week 14-16, when he'll face Denver, Arizona and Jacksonville, three of the top 9 most generous defenses in fantasy to the tight end position. Walker can still be had in more than 90 percent of Yahoo leagues – go get him if you could use some help at your TE spot.
