Devonta Freeman, Joseph Randle shine in Falcons, Cowboys shootout

The Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons provided plenty of fantasy buzz in Sunday's matchup, highlighted by three-touchdown games for both Joseph Randle and Devonta Freeman.

Freeman had a breakout Week 3, setting career highs with 30 carries for 141 yards on top of the three scores. He also caught five balls for 52 yards, showing elusiveness and power against a Dallas defense that had been impressive in its first two games. Freeman will continue to get a heavy workload for the Falcons with rookie Tevin Coleman still recovering from broken ribs. If he continues this kind of production, a potential timeshare would clearly swing in Freeman's direction.

Not to be outdone, Julio Jones continues his monster season. He had 12 catches for 164 yards and two touchdowns. He came up with several big catches to keep drives going as Atlanta rallied in the second half. Jones now has 34 receptions for 440 yards and four touchdowns through three games, making his case as the NFL's best receiver.

With Brandon Weeden under center, Dallas leaned heavily on the ground game. Randle received the bulk of the carries (14 for 87 yards) while the passing game was all dink-and-dunk. That combination worked well until Dallas fell behind. From there on out, the Cowboys had trouble moving the ball in any form or fashion and could provide a glimpse of what's to come for Dallas.

Targeting the Atlanta defense when you're playing Daily Fantasy Football or in a season-long league in the coming weeks is a sound strategy as the Falcons continue to struggle slowing down the opposing run game.
