Wimbledon, Day 10: Bryan brothers look to make history as Bartoli and Lisicki advance

The women took the court at Wimbledon on Thursday to see who would make the finals, and the first match was all Marion Bartoli. The Frenchwoman took out Kristen Flipkens 6-1, 6-2 in a match that saw Bartoli hit 23 winners in a short two sets and advance to her second Wimbledon finals and first since 2007 (Bartoli lost to Venus Williams in that one).

The second semifinal was drastically different than the first. Sabine Lisicki, who has been on a run since upsetting Serena Williams, went three sets with Agnieszka Radwanska before finally advancing to her first Grand Slam final 6-4, 2-6, 9-7.

The final set was a back-and-forth between both players, with Radwanska taking a 3-0 lead before Lisicki started clawing back. In the end it seemed the power of Lisicki was too much for Radwanska, who hit just 21 winners to the 60 by Lisicki.

Bob and Mike Bryan, searching for the 2013 Grand Slam in doubles, nearly got ousted in the semifinals on Thursday at Wimbledon, but were able to right the ship in the fifth set.

The Bryan brothers beat Rohan Bopanna and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-7 (7), 6-4, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 in an epic five-setter to advance to the finals in hopes of winning their fourth straight Grand Slam of 2013 dating back to the 2012 U.S. Open.

It has been an epic run for the Bryan brothers, who just continue to get better with age, a rarity in the tennis world, and while it looked like they might not make it past the combo of Bopanna and Roger-Vasselin on Thursday, they were just too good in that final set.

Andy Murray, the most popular person in England right now, goes out of his way to sign an autograph for a fan.

When Sophie, Countess of Wessex is in the house, everyone takes notice.

Friday marks the men's semifinals, with Novak Djokovic and Juan Martin del Potro taking Centre Court first, and Andy Murray going up against Jerzy Janowicz in the second match. The two winners will advance to the finals that take place on Sunday at Wimbledon.
