A 9-year-old drums his devotion to Genie Bouchard

PARIS – As Montreal's Genie Bouchard prepares for her big semifinal showdown at the French Open with Maria Sharapova, a 9-year-old named Jaxon put together a drum tribute to his favorite tennis player.

He puts on "Dangerous" from the alt band Big Data and adds his own drum line – and dedicates it personally to Bouchard at the end and wishes her luck.

Jaxon is no average drumming 9-year-old – his YouTube page calls him an "Internet drummer," which almost sounds like an actual job and which we presume doesn't mean he actually drums the Internet, but more likely drums ON the Internet. Jaxon also has met the drummer for Pearl Jam, and his 91-video collection of performances is pretty eclectic: from Muse to Rush to the Chainsmokers to the Who.

He clearly also knows how to jump onto a trend when he sees one (although he'll have to get himself a Babolat racket, since Bouchard made the switch from Wilson a few years ago).

Will it work? Tune in Friday.
