Fans are stopping Lazio’s Senad Lulic in the street to kiss his foot after he scored Coppa Italia winner

Being a professional footballer can lead to many surreal moments in life and Lazio's Senad Lulic experienced this after he scored the only goal in the Coppa Italia final against city rivals Roma. Fans are so appreciative of his efforts in the first ever Rome derby in the Coppa Italia final that they are literally stopping him in the street to kiss his foot.

Says Lulic (via Football Italia):

“It has been two days since the Final and I still can’t believe it. This was just an incredible evening. I finally realised what the Rome Derby means when I saw everyone in tears – not just the fans, but the players and kit staff too.

“The day after the game people would stop me in the street and kiss my right foot, the one I used to score the goal!

“I only got the goal, so I really don’t deserve all the credit for the victory. This whole team made history.”

So the Pope has people wanting to kiss his ring and Senad Lulic has people kissing his shoe. Let's just hope no Roma fans see him in the street, because they're more likely to use a crude stabbing tool on him instead of their lips.
