DTotD: Brazil goalkeeper connects with David Luiz’s face instead of the ball

Two goals from Oscar within the first half hour of a friendly against Iraq gave Brazil a comfortable lead early on, but the experience was decidedly less comfortable for David Luiz. The Chelsea defender was attempting to head clear a high floating ball in the box when Brazil keeper Diego Alves came rushing forward to try and knock it away himself. Instead of connecting with the ball, Alves connected with David Luiz's head.

Luiz received treatment and was able to continue. Hopefully at halftime Brazil's goalkeeping coach explains the difference between the ball and teammate's faces to Alves.

This has been the Dirty Tackle of the Day: a chronicling of unfortunate events.
