Dimitar Berbatov gets day off from training after predicting he would score winner against Spurs

Fulham beat Tottenham 1-0 at White Hart Lane, with Dimitar Berbatov scoring the winner against his former club. After the match, Fulham manager Martin Jol revealed that, for the second time this season, Berbatov predicted he would do this. And that the two have an agreement that promises the artful Bulgarian a day off when he scores.

From Sporting Life:

Jol said: "Before the game you hope for a point... but Berbatov came to me and promised me... He said: 'you have to trust me'.

"I thought he was joking. But he said it before the match against Stoke (where he scored the winner) and he is a wonderful player. [...]

"He's a remarkable boy," the 57-year-old said.

"He's a different personality, but he's said it twice now. Against Stoke before the match and he said it again today.

"The only thing he wants is a day off if he scores. I promised him a day off and he scores!"

Some players might want monetary bonuses for the goals they score, others might want cars, but The Berba just wants a bit of leisure time. He now has 11 Premier League goals for Fulham this season as they sit in the middle of the table. With those days off he earns through his scoring prowess, The Berba has time to draw celebrities, enjoy the finest wines and seduce you with his erotic undershirt slogans. A few more goals and he will be the father of your next child.
