Amidst the many controversies related to Rio Ferdinand pulling out of the England squad, 37-year-old David Beckham would like to remind everyone that he is still very much available for international duty.

Beckham would rush to his country's aid if Roy Hodgson decided he could do a job for the national team again.
He told CNN World Sport: "One of the reasons why I've never retired from the England team is because if there's ever an opportunity to play for them again, then I'm available.
"If there is any chance of me ever playing for my country again, I would never turn that down. Like I said, I'm almost 38 years old so the chances are very slight, but you never know."
Though Beckham hasn't played at the international level since 2009 due to a torn Achilles tendon suffered (while on loan with Milan) that prevented him from playing in the 2010 World Cup, he still holds the all-time record for England caps among outfield players (115). And now that he's back in Europe and playing in the Champions League maybe he has an outside shot at extending that record. After all, what's one more 30-plus(-plus) midfielder? We've seen how much attention he still gets with PSG, so at the very least Beckham could distract opponents by offering to sign autographs during matches at next year's World Cup.
