What to watch: Day 5 at the Olympics
Sports fans are in for another full day of spirited Olympic competition as 20 gold medals will be up for grabs on the fifth day since the Opening Ceremony of the London Games.
Day 5 — Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012
Swimming will once again dominate headlines as Team USA will swim for four different gold medals. USA's Clark Burckle and Scott Weltz will swim in the men's 200m breaststroke final at 2:30 p.m. ET while Nathan Adrian and Cullen Jones will have their sights set on the men's 100m freestyle final at 3:20 p.m. ET. Competing for the United States in the women's 200m butterfly at 3:12 p.m.ET will be Kathleen Hersey and Cammile Adams. Dana Vollmer will try to keep her cap on as she helps lead Allison Schmitt, Missy Franklin and the rest of Team USA in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay final at 4:04 p.m. ET.

In men's soccer action, gold-medal-favorites Brazil take on New Zealand at 9:30 a.m. ET. The scoreless match-ups against Japan and Honduras put the Spanish national soccer team out of contention for a medal, but that won't stop it from playing for pride against Morocco at noon ET. Also at noon, Mexico matches up against a Swiss team missing one racist tweeter. English fans will enjoy the British team's match against the hungry Uruguay squad at 2:45 p.m. ET.
USA's Danell Leyva and John Orozco will be competing head-to-head for the gold in the men's gymnastics individual all-around final at 12:30 p.m. ET. Other medal events take place throughout the day in kayak, cycling, diving, fencing, judo, rowing, shooting, table tennis and weightlifting.
In non-medal action, the U.S. women's national basketball team takes on Turkey at 5:15 p.m. ET. Then, at 6 p.m.ET, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings will match up against sisters Doris and Stefanie Schwaiger of Austria in women's beach volleyball.
