Watch Corey Perry inspect glass in Colorado, gives Patrick Roy thumbs-up (Video)

The last time the Ducks and Avalanche met, it was the first game of the new season, and Patrick Roy was making his head coaching debut.

Few people expected anything from the Avs. They were a very young team with a brand new coach. The Ducks counted themselves in that category and decided take the night off. Naturally, they were shellacked by Colorado, 6-1.

The best part of the game came at the end when a very frustrated Bruce Boudreau and (usually crazy) Patrick Roy had a war of words that resulted in an innocent piece of glass being manhandled. Roy's wallet was $10K lighter the next day.

Flash forward to Friday's game between the two teams. It was their first meeting since the now-infamous glass incident.

After a total nine goals were scored in the second period, the third consisted of mostly beating the crap out of each other. Towards the end, the teams got into another war of words on the bench. Corey Perry decided to sit himself right where he was the first time Gabby and Roy went after each other.

This time the refs were able to de-escalate the situation quickly. Perry was encouraged to move further down the bench. He complied, but not before checking to make sure the glass was secure this time around.

Once he finished his inspection, he gave Roy the thumbs up, and Roy shot laser beams out of his eyes at Perry.

The team meet for the last time on April 13th in Anaheim to close out the regular season.
