Early in the third period of Anaheim's 1-0 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Lightning, Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler propped himself up on the bench getting ready for a line change. When the puck came in his direction, he went to move his feet back onto the bench to avoid any interference with the play.
Well, balance is a funny thing, and Fowler must have misjudged things as he would fall onto the ice:
No referee in his right mind would have thought to call "too many men" in that situation. Fowler suffered enough embarrassment with that display.
And we can all rest assured that Fowler will never hear the end of that thanks to Hampus Lindholm, who had a front row seat to the hilarity.
