Shea Weber bobblehead looks nothing like Shea Weber; trolls Flyers

If you were to make a Shea Weber bobblehead doll, what would it look like?

Would it in some way harken to the Nashville captain's brawny 6-foot-4, 233-pound physique. His perfectly cropped spiked brown hair?

Or would it look like ... the featured photo in this blog post (s/t phillip_maxwell on reddit).

He does wear the captain's 'C' and has a right-handed shot. But beyond those attributes -- at least on this photo -- I'm not seeing much. Granted this is just one angle.

Props to the Predators for putting Weber's charity logo on the doll, which benefits fundraising in the fight against pediatric cancer.

Anyway, this is the ultimate troll for Nashville. Why? Because it will be unleashed on the public in Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers -- the team that signed Weber to the 14-year $110 million offer sheet in 2012, which Nashville matched.

Because of said deal, the Predators have had to pay Weber a lump sum of $13 million on July 1 the last three offseasons. For a small market team that's a mega pill to swallow. And Weber has had to deal with some scrutiny on whether he truly wants to be in Nashville -- questions he hates answering.

Such a creation will likely bring back at least some line of queries to Weber for Saturday's game, which no doubt he will enjoy tremendously.

Regardless, Nashville is proud of its decision to keep its captain, even if the contract wasn't on its terms and was enormous by any market standards. But if the Predators really wanted to needle Philly, they would simply just show their record on the jumbotron. Still, this is pretty funny, both the idea of the bobblehead and the actual execution of the doll.
