There are many different ways to leave a team for whom you've played your entire career; you can pitch a fit, you can burn every bridge, or you can go out with class. Josh Cribbs, free agent return specialist, has spent his entire eight-year career with the Cleveland Browns. But it's looking like he won't be back, and so he took to Instagram to offer up a handmade, heartfelt farewell to the city.
"It's been a blessing to be in Cleveland, wishing the best to the city & the Team. If I could stay I would..." Cribbs wrote, adding a crying-face icon.
Five teams, including the 49ers, Cowboys, Giants and Patriots, have expressed interest in Cribbs, but he's apparently leaning toward Arizona. (Save your "they're all better than Cleveland" jokes, people. Cribbs is hurting here.)
So, good on ya, Josh. It's the 21st-century version of a full-page newspaper ad, but we like this one much better.
