LeBron James' first Ohio State game in the post-Miami Heat era could be Saturday.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said he expected James to be in attendance against Virginia Tech. When James signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers for his second stint with the team this summer, Meyer had said that James had sideline passes for all Ohio State games.

James, a big Buckeyes fan, has been to Ohio State games before, but he promises to get an incredibly warm welcome if he's in attendance Saturday night. His presence could help in recruiting, as the night game against a big nonconference team is an important recruiting weekend for the Buckeyes.

"It's a big recruiting game, it's a big national audience," Meyer said. "It's Ohio State night ... night games Buckeye style and that stadium's awesome. We've had some great games the last two years there at night."

Ohio State will also be wearing its alternate uniforms for the game. The Buckeyes wore the uniforms four times last year, including against Wisconsin and Michigan.
