You think you know sarcasm? Mike Leach has some sarcasm for you

Since Mike Leach took the Washington State job last December, there haven't been many uneventful moments, and this week's press conference kept the streak alive.

Throughout the year, Leach has called his team zombie-like, banned his players from Twitter and said his offensive line would probably get whipped in a street fight. It hasn't all sat well with his players -- star wide receiver Marquess Wilson reportedly walked out of a practice and was subsequently suspended -- so toward the end of Leach's weekly presser, he decided to take a gentler, softer tact.

"I have considered this over the years — having the 'Yes-No' press conference — where every question is answered with a 'Yes' or a 'No' and I certainly wouldn't rule that out," Leach said. "I may go to that Yes-No thing because in this era of ridiculous political correctness and stuff like that, there seems to be some dissatisfaction for style points.

"Typically, if I'm asked a question, I give an honest answer and I can see that there's evidently some dissatisfaction with that. But I can go to the one-syllable answer. I kind of like that and it appeals to me and I've done things a certain way for a number of years, so maybe it's time to change that and check that out."

So, for the remaining five minutes of Leach's press conference (see above), Leach gives canned answers that are so ridiculous and sarcastic even he can't help but smile.

When asked about what he has to do to make this a successful season, Leach said: "I think they're doing everything they can to be successful. I think as a team we've had a lot of guys participate and they've had a lot of fun and they're trying as hard as they possibly can and everyone wants to win really bad. But they're trying just so hard and I couldn't be prouder of them and everybody's done everything we could and this program, this year, we've taken it as far as we possibly can and we couldn't be happier with it. We've tried that hard. And I think next year is going to be even better because everybody's great and everybody's done a perfect job and I like the way everything is going."

Wow. Not sure you can get any more sarcastic than that, but that's what we've all come to expect from Leach, right? Sometimes, you just get what you ask for.
