South Florida to wear patriotic helmets and jerseys with military patches Saturday (Photos)

Add South Florida to the list of teams honoring the armed forces this weekend when the Bulls host Memphis for Military Appreciation night.

Signs of patriotism will be shown on both their helmets and jerseys in one of the cooler displays we've seen recently. The helmets, with the red, white and blue stripe and Americanized Bulls decal are really sharp. On top of that, patches of the five branches of the armed forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy) will be worn on different uniforms.

“It’s big-time. I think it’s really good what we’re doing for our military and it’s a great way to honor them,” head coach Willie Taggart said. “I think it will be even better by going out and playing well.”

The Bulls (2-6) are coming off back-to-back losses to Louisville and Houston. Memphis also sits at 2-6 after a 21-6 win over UT Martin last Saturday snapped a four-game losing streak.
