Oregon didn't have to look outside the program to find Scott Frost's replacement at offensive coordinator.

Oregon coach Mark Helfrich said Friday that Matt Lubick, the team's passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach, would be the new offensive coordinator. Lubick will call plays in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday vs. TCU.

"Matt is an outstanding football coach," Helfrich said at a Friday press conference via OregonLive.com. "As a group our continuity, as an offensive staff is a big strength."

Frost, the former Nebraska quarterback, left Oregon to become the new head coach at Central Florida.

Lubick has been with the Ducks since 2013. Before he came to Oregon, he was the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Duke. Lubick played defensive back at Western Montana College.

Oregon's offense continued to be one of the best in the country in 2015, especially when quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. was healthy. The transfer from Eastern Washington suffered a finger injury early in the season. Oregon's offense averaged 548 yards per game and 7.23 yards per play.

Adams is gone after 2015 but Lubick will have another FCS transfer to work with. Dakota Prukop is transferring from Montana State for 2016. Prukop threw for 3,025 yards in 2015 and rushed for 797 yards.
