Mississippi State is giving fans the chance to design the banners for Davis Wade Stadium

Mississippi State is expanding Davis Wade Stadium and is giving fans the chance to design the banners that will hang on the outside of the facility.

The school is adding over 8,000 seats in the north end zone and as well as luxury boxes for the 2014 season to complete the expansion process that started in 2012. But the process wouldn't be official without the banners, and the school put out a solicitation for entries on Wednesday.

The banners will be hung on the brick facade of the school along the west side of the stadium. If you want to give it your best shot, your design must be 43 feet 10.75 inches tall and 18 feet 8 inches wide.

The contest winners will be given two memberships to The Gridiron, a premium club that is being added as part of the north end zone expansion. Between one and six winners will be chosen.

We're thinking a giant, ferocious bulldog would work well. Or maybe a giant cowbell? The cowbell may not get approved, however. Mississippi State's cowbell-ringing tradition got the school fined $25,000 by the SEC for violating the conference's artificial noise-making rule in 2013.

To enter, email a high-resolution file of your design to the Mississippi State athletic office at marketing@athletics.msstate.edu by the end of Sunday, Jan. 26. Hurry, you don't have much time.
