Les Miles and Skip Holtz vie for Dr. Saturday’s Bracket Challenge title

I need to apologize.

Last week, I wrote that if LSU coach Les Miles lost Florida and Ohio State in the Elite eight that the Dr. Saturday Coaches Bracket Challenge would be over and Louisiana Tech's Skip Holtz would be the winner.

I was wrong.

Upon further review, Miles, Holtz, our current leader, and Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy all have Louisville playing in the final, but only Miles and Gundy have the Cardinals winning it all.

That’s right, if Louisville wins the tournament then Miles with be the Bracket Challenge winner. If the Cardinals lose, Holtz will be the winner.

And see, I thought there would be no drama heading into the final weekend.

Here are the coaches scores heading into the Final Four. Again, the only team remaining for all of the coaches is Louisville.

Skip Holtz
Total points: 64

Les Miles
Total points: 62

Mike Gundy
Total Points: 45

Holtz led the Dr. Saturday Bracket Challenge from the beginning and while Miles looked like he had the best shot of stealing the crown — he had all of his Final Four teams intact going into the Sweet 16 — Holtz has held steady. Losing Ohio State and Florida definitely put Miles in a hole. Still, popular opinion says Louisville is the team to beat.

In case you’re wondering, Holtz had Indiana winning it all.

All of the brackets are in a slideshow above.

How are you doing against our coaches?
