Katherine Webb will be parading around in a bikini weekly in primetime

Katherine Webb, the real-life girlfriend of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, has parlayed her 30 seconds of BCS National Championship fame into a possible spot in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue, a commentating gig at the Super Bowl and a contract with a modeling agency, and now, apparently, a reality television show.

According to TMZ, Webb has joined the cast of a new reality show called Celebrity Diving, which, by the title, should last about three episodes.

She joins a cast that includes Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Nicole Eggert from the 80s show Charles in Charge, reality star Kendra Wilkinson, comedian Louie Anderson, Drake Bell of Disney Channel fame, Chuy from the E! Network, and Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played Rudy on The Cosby Show.

Webb fans – and there are a ton of them – will enjoy the show because it appears Webb will be in a bikini about 90 percent of the time. Unfortunately, you also have to look at Ndamukong Suh and Louie Anderson during that time.

Has any girlfriend – on the collegiate level – earned as much undeserved attention as Katherine Webb? Johnny Manziel’s girlfriend was a model and attractive and no one has heard from her since the Heisman ceremony.

It’s clear Webb has embraced her new roll as an “it” girl, but it probably won't have the staying power of Alabama's football dynasty.
