Jameis Winston responds to the haters who criticized his post-game interview

After winning the BCS National Championship Monday night, Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston gave a passionate post-game interview where he detailed what he said to his teammates before the game-winning drive. Tuesday he took to Twitter to respond to the haters who criticized him for his southern drawl.

The tweet can be perceived as a response to AJ McCarron’s mom, Dee Dee Bonner, who tweeted “Am I listening to English?” while Winston was being interviewed.

Bonner quickly deleted the tweet and later apologized and claimed that her initial tweet was not racist.

Sure Winston, a native of Hueytown, Alabama, may not use correct grammar all the time, but he really is not difficult to understand whatsoever. And yes Dee Dee, you were listening to English.

And at the end of the day, even if some people didn't like Winston's interview, LeBron James has his back.
